No wingnuts on the internets FINALLY!

Look! The fine piece of wingnut whining is here. From it, we can find out that Microsoft donated 100 000 $ to an organisation that furthers the gay agenda*. The wingnut readers are gently asked to from now on consider Apple products.

Good for them? So you’d think. Only, another wingnut arrives with some news on Apple:

Just to point out that Apple also donated the exact sum ($100,000) to the pro-gay ‘No to Prop 8′ campaign last year in California, when there was a referendum over the gay marriage issue there. Google and Levis Strauss, amongst others, also supported gay marriage with donations there. Therefore, if this is going to influence your purchasing decision, then Apple would not be the alternative you imply. It posted the following on its website on 24 October 2008:

‘Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.’

Ahahahahaha! So, no compies for wingnuts? Or Linux-only on some shady hardware? AWESOME.

THEY ARE JUST THE SORT OF PERSON I WOULD WISH UBUNTU ON**.

* At this point, I have to confess, I licked my Windows XP CD a bit.
